Using Signal Home Screen on Your iOS App
Note: The Home Screen is a feature of Signal by EverTrue. If you have questions about Signal, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
What is Signal’s Home Screen?
The Signal Home Screen serves as your EverTrue app login landing page, providing access to tools that can help you during your work week. Once on your Home tab, you’ll find it divided into three main sections:
- Quick Actions
- Tasks Assigned To You
- Suggested Tasks
Additionally, you will find a constituent search bar and access to Launchpad (if your organization has this feature enabled!) near the top of this tab.
Below, we’ll explore the functionalities of each section on the Home tab. Let’s get started!
Using Quick Actions
At the top of your Home tab, you’ll find the Quick Actions section where you can easily add interactions and meetings, and start new trips. Let’s take a closer look at each of these options!
Step 1. Add an Interaction
To quickly add an interaction from the Quick Actions section, select + Add Interaction. An Add Interaction form will appear in which you can input your interaction details. Click Save to finish adding the interaction!
Step 2. Add a Meeting
To quickly add a meeting from the Quick Actions section, select + Add Meeting. You will be prompted to create either a Local, Virtual, or Phone meeting. Select one option, and input your meeting details in the form that appears. Click Save to finish adding the meeting!
Step 3. Start a New Trip
To quickly start a new trip from the Quick Actions section, select + Add Trip. A New Trip form will appear in which you can input your trip details. Click Save to finish creating the trip! Once created, head to the Trips page in your Activity tab to build out your trip by adding things like meetings and time blocks.
Using Tasks Assigned To You
In the middle of your Home tab, you’ll find the Tasks Assigned To You section. This will be your home base for Collaborative Tasks on mobile. Here, you can see up to three of your ad-hoc tasks or cadence steps. Let’s dive into how to use this section!
To learn more about tasks on mobile, take a look at our dedicated article, Using Collaborative Tasks on Your iOS App.
Step 1. Review Upcoming Tasks
The Tasks Assigned To You section offers a snapshot of your tasks and cadence steps with the earliest upcoming due dates. You’ll find up to three tasks listed here, each including task due date (if added to the task), task name, and respective constituent (if added to the task). You can mark tasks complete in this section by clicking the circle that appears to the left of a task.
Note: Don’t be surprised to see an overdue task populate in the Tasks Assigned To You section! These tasks are considered to have the earliest due dates.
Note: Cadence steps include an icon to the left of their due dates, making it easy to differentiate them from ad-hoc tasks. Click on a cadence step to see the constituent’s current cadence and specific step.
Note: If you’ve paused tasks on the EverTrue web app, the Tasks Assigned To You section will display “Your tasks are paused” until the pause is lifted.
Step 2. View All Tasks
If you’d like to see all of your ad-hoc tasks and cadence steps, click See All in the upper-right corner of your Tasks Assigned To You section.
You will be taken to your Tasks page where you’ll find tasks sorted into two different tabs:
- Your Tasks: This tab includes all tasks assigned to you.
- Assigned By You: This tab includes all tasks you assigned to others on your team.
Tasks in each tab can be filtered by completion status using the Incomplete, Overdue, and Completed buttons found near the top of the page. Additionally, you can add new tasks by clicking the + button in the upper-right corner.
Note: If you’ve paused tasks on the EverTrue web app, the Tasks page will display “Your tasks are paused” until the pause is lifted.
Using Suggested Tasks
At the bottom of your Home tab, you’ll find the Suggested Tasks section, the home base for our AI-Suggested Tasks feature. This feature leverages AI to recommend follow-up tasks based on recent interactions tied to your assigned constituents. Let’s explore how to use it!
To learn more about AI-Suggested Tasks on mobile, take a look at our dedicated article, Using Collaborative Tasks on Your iOS App.
Note: AI-Suggested Tasks will only be accessible if you have already opted into using EverTrue’s AI features. If your organization is interested in activating this feature for your team, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Step 1. Review Task Suggestions
The Suggested Tasks section lists three tasks we recommend you take as part of your cultivation efforts. A dropdown arrow to the right of each suggestion can be clicked to reveal additional task details. You can quickly add one of these tasks to your Tasks page by clicking the purple + button found to the left of its name.
If you add all three tasks, return the following day to find more suggestions populated. In the meantime, continue adding interactions for your assigned constituents to inform new daily suggestions!
Step 2. Edit a Suggestion
You’ll find a couple of edit options in Suggested Tasks that enable you to make changes to tasks before adding them. If you swipe a task to the right, you will reveal a calendar button. If you swipe a task to the left, you will reveal a pencil button.
Click either option to open a task editor in which you can edit any task detail, such as the due date or action type. Once you’ve made your changes, hit Save to add the revised suggestion to your Tasks page!
