Getting Started: Volunteer for Mobile

Downloading the Volunteer for Mobile App

Volunteer by EverTrue is currently available for iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) mobile devices. In the App Store or Google Play Store, search Volunteer by EverTrue to locate and download the free app.

If you're using another type of mobile device (e.g. Windows phones), we recommend using your device's native web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer) to open up Volunteer. Our web app is mobile responsive, meaning it will adjust nicely to your mobile device's screen. All features available on the web are also available on mobile.

Logging Into Mobile

The process for logging into Volunteer by EverTrue's mobile app is the same as logging into the web version. Once you've downloaded the app on your iOS or Android device, open the app and you'll be prompted to enter your email address. After you're done, hit Submit.

Next, you'll be prompted to login, or you can email yourself a link to get started. The latter will send an email to your inbox containing a link to access the application. When you click the View My Assignments link in the email, you'll be prompted to open the Volunteer app in either the app or your mobile web browser. Choose Open in App and voila: you're logged in!

Logging Your Activity in Mobile

Logging an activity of any kind in the Volunteer by EverTrue app is quick and easy! You can do so from any prospect profile by tapping on the + in the upper right corner, or from the Activity tab via the Add Interaction button.

From there, you'll be able to choose one of the following interaction types:

  • Note
  • Email
  • Social
  • Text Message
  • Phone Call
  • Virtual Visit

For email, social, text message, and phone call interactions, you'll have the ability to update the prospect's contact information. For example, if the email address or phone number you used to contact the prospect is different than the one listed, you can edit the email address or phone number in the Summary field. With social messages, Volunteer defaults to LinkedIn as the outreach method—but you can input whatever platform you used (i.e., Facebook or Twitter).

Enter the note/description, hit save, and your activity will be logged on the profile!
