10 Steps to Become an EverTrue Rockstar

  1. Designate an “owner” who is responsible for ongoing oversight of your EverTrue partnership.
  2. Make sure every person on your team has the right training. Give them this playbook and attend an EverTrue 101 webinar.
  3. Put the best information into the hands of each team member. Have every user download the EverTrue Advancement app to their smartphone and tablet (it’s available in the App Store or Google Play).
  4. Build saved segments that automatically pass new, relevant information to your alumni relations, annual fund, gift officers, and prospect researchers.  
  5. Stop using Excel to track lists of constituents. Just stop! Create and collaborate on lists in EverTrue using information in real-time.
  6. EverTrue can help teams achieve goals in every facet of advancement. As you organize your outreach strategy for the year, outline how you’ll incorporate EverTrue with each initiative, whether it’s building prospect pipeline, expanding invite lists for events, measuring alumni engagement, creating annual giving segments, planning trips, prepping for donor visits, and more.
  7. Form an EverTrue user group that meets regularly to learn from each other, share successes stories, and use the platform even more efficiently.
  8. Partner with your communications team to create and share content that proactively builds prospect pipeline.
  9. Add custom data fields to EverTrue to further refine your segmentation and outreach. Let your Customer Success Manager know if you want to do this!
  10. Share success stories with your Customer Success Manager. We love to hear about the great work you’re doing!
